I came here during the very long weekend before the New Year's Eve.
Inspired by a friend and a TV adventure series, I decided to join this journey along with Devi, Dina, Didik, Arsyad and Hendry
Eventually after some 12 hour drive, we had to use those bikecabs (see the photos) only to find a small yet amazing village in Teluk Kiluan. We’re so grateful for the hospitality shown by Wahyu a ‘mantri’ serving the villagers. It’s him who allowed us to stay at his puskesmas hostel heheheh

The village
It’s hard to believe we felt like paying a visit to a small fishermen village in Bali after finding Balinese also living peacefully together with the locals from Lampung and Javanese transmigrants. It’s all due to the transmigration program held by the government.

The snorkeling and the extra-ordinarily cheap lobster
In spite of the storm, we succeeded to go snorkeling, enjoying the beauty of this island, finding an octopus hiding under the underwater plants, and finally paid only Rp 30.000,- for each lobster (the big one). OMG, in Jakarta it could be sold for more than Rp 300.000,- per lobster

Anyway, just enjoy the photos, and thanks to my friends, I wouldn’t be there without you
Hopefully one day I'd be able to return ...
- About the dolphin, we’re frankly not disappointed though the dolphins weren’t there (just blame on the storm hehehhe) -
